Solvent

Solvent is one of the two main components of the solution. A solution of solvent and soluble is formed, which is usually the part that is more soluble in volume and quantity. Solvents are divided into different categories, the main ones being polar and non-polar.

Polarity or non-polarity of a solvent depends on the molecules and the type of structure. In polar solvents, the constituent molecules also have a polar structure and have two positive or negative poles. These materials absorb each other during the force of electrostatic attraction. The non-polar type is also composed of weak covalent bonds, which is a reason for their low boiling point, in other words, they are volatile.

The use of solvents in everyday life and in industry is very widespread. They can usually be used to dilute a solution. It is sometimes used for extraction, in which case they are widely used in the liquid extraction industry. For example, in the discussion of lubrication, petroleum products, perfumes, resins and components of medicines, they are widely used.

Solvents are also used in washing and are used as detergents in washing solutions and eliminate contaminants and waste in various places, for example, they are used in washing clothes, utensils and so on. In industrial discussions, it is used to reduce or increase viscosity, change temperature properties, extract materials, remove contaminants from the surface, and so on. It is used in the production of varnish to dissolve different colors and is one of the main components of varnish production.
