Esters

Esters mean ether acid, also known as autocell. Autocell means volatile salt. those are organic compounds that are fragrant and volatile. The good smell of flowers and fruits is due to the presence of esters in them. In ripe fruits, large amounts of those can be found.

In addition to ripe fruits and some flowers, those are also present in waxes and oils, or in other words, they are high molecular weight esters called lipids. Waxes are a combination of those, alcohols, and long-chain alkanes, the main components of which are esters from the reaction of fatty acids and long-chain alcohols. For example, a study of beeswax showed that the highest amount of mycelium palmitate was a ester.

For example, isopentyl acetate, banana odor, and valerian isopentyl apple and isobutyl propionate are the smell of sugarcane; It smells like pineapple.

Esters are RCOOR’s molecular formulas in which R and R ‘are an alkyl or aryl (aromatic) group. those are actually made from a combination of carboxylic acid and alcohol. Hydrogen is separated from acid and hydroxide is separated from alcohol and water is formed from the rest of the compound, ester.

With these interpretations, carboxylic acids and esters are isomers of each other, in other words, those are derivatives of carboxylic acids. There are different types of esters and they are also found in rings, which are called lactones. The general formula of those is CnH2nO2 as long as it is a single factor. It is also important to note that Rs may be replaced by H in those, which is not possible for R’s.
