Ethylene vinyl acetate eva is a clear, odorless material with good melt adhesion, low weight, excellent gas penetration resistance, good moldability and good toughness at low temperatures. Due to its lower price compared to natural tires, this material is especially popular in the industry.

What is ethylene vinyl acetate eva

It is a copolymer made from ethylene and vinyl acetate (normally between 10 and 15% molybdenum acetate molybdenum as an ethylene-linked polar substrate), known as polyethylene vinyl acetate in industry.

These materials are usually divided into three general categories based on the weight percentage of vinyl acetate in them. The first group contains about 4% vinyl acetate and is known as polyethylene modified with vinyl acetate. The weight percentage of vinyl acetate in the second group of these materials is between 4 and 30% and they are called elastomer thermoplastic. The latter category contains more than 40% vinyl acetate and is known as ethylene vinyl acetate rubber.

Similarities and differences between ethylene vinyl acetate eva

It is chemically very similar to polyethylene, except that ethyl vinyl acetate has some branched or branched vinyl acetate. They are also similar to elastomeric materials in terms of softness and flexibility, but are similar to thermoplastic materials in terms of processing capability.

Application of ethylene vinyl acetate eva

This material is used in industry to produce various products, for example, in the production of adhesives, shoe soles, helmets, sports equipment, fishing equipment, flexible hoses, pistons and handles, in the production of thin foams and flexibility to make artificial flowers.
