What is HUNTMAN Titan?

Titania is one of the important oxides of Titanium in industry with TiO₂ chemical formula that is obtained as a mineral and natural material from different Ores such as Ilmenite.

Advantages and properties of HUNTMAN Titan

Titanium oxide is the most important white pigment in industry that isn’t soluble in water, organic acids and dilute alkalic solutions, but is soluble in concentrated, and warm Sulfuric and Fluoric acids. As the other properties of this matter can be mentioned to high refractory degree, optical stability, gloss, bleaching, UV absorption power, coating and great stability.

Application of HUNTMAN Titan

White Titanium usually because of its more coating power and less price than other white pigments is used in paint production, cosmetics and sanitary equipment production such as tooth paste, as filler for powder and cream, protecting covers, rubber industry, anti-coagulate and disinfection surfaces, to decomposition of pollutants and increase service life in cement production, tile, ceramic and window, as eatable color in food industry, to prepare medicant and packing that, cancer treatment, in  cosmetic and sanitary industry to sunscreen production, bleacher, varnish, lipstick and etc.

Although in Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, this matter is categorized as non-toxic and safe materials but because the particles of its transportation can be annoying for lung, so in prolonged contact to that, is recommended to use mask, gloves, glasses, hat and safety clothes.
