There are two types of sulfosoxins. Di-esters and mono-esters, commonly known as semi-esters. Diesters are poorly foamed, irritating, and low-solubility, so they are rarely used in personal care products. In industry, diodes are used as moisturizers and dispersants. Monosters, on the other hand, are good foams and are mild for skin and eye irritation, so they are ideal for personal care applications.
