Homopolymer

Vinyl acetate homopolymer is one of the emulsion resins made from vinyl acetate monomer. It is a semi-soft resin in water and has good light resistance and does not oxidize quickly.

What is homopolymer ?

Hemopolymers are polymer molecules in which a single chemical repeating unit or monomer is repeated several times to produce a high molecular weight linear macromolecule. Simply put, the result of the polymerization reaction between homonymous monomers is the formation of a homopolymer.

Application of homopolymer

Homopolymer is mainly used in wood glue, packaging glue, machine carpet, carpet, fabric. Because polyvinyl acetate adhesives have good resistance to oil, grease and acid. Adhesives based on this resin are environmentally friendly and do not pose health risks.

In addition to its use in the adhesive and textile industries, polyvinyl acetate resin is also used in the paint and construction industries to make tile adhesives. Also, with the increase of additives in the industry, it is used in the production of fibers, films, sheets and injection molding applications. Other applications include the use of windshield wipers, fan protection and steering wheel, diapers, in-car fabric, and more.

Homopolymer storage conditions

In order to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold, this resin contains a very small amount of antibacterial and preservative substances. This resin can be stored at 5 to 30. C for at least one year. It is recommended to avoid exposure to direct sunlight and to take care to prevent frostbite in cold weather.
