Iranian industrial acetone or dimethyl formaldehyde is a toxic, volatile, runny, white, flammable liquid with a relatively good odor almost close to the smell of fruits and is one of the stain removers that is widely used in industry as a solvent cleaner.
What is Iranian industrial acetone?
In the not-so-distant past, this substance was obtained from the dry distillation of acetates such as calcium acetate. It is less used today. Today, however, most of the available acetone is produced directly or indirectly through propylene through the Kyumen process.
It is worth noting that this substance is present in the body’s natural metabolism, for example, in the natural organs and muscles and tissues in very small amounts, and the blood contains a small amount of it. Of course, it is not bad to point out that the amount of this substance in the body of people with diabetes is higher than other people, the smell of fruit exhalation that is inhaled from these people is also the reason for this.
Advantages and features of Iranian industrial acetone
This material, which is a highly sensitive and powerful flammable explosive, can be mixed with organic solvents and water in all ratios. It is toxic and should be avoided.
Application of Iranian industrial acetone
It is used in the manufacture of plastics, synthetic fibers, as a carrier of acetylene in cylinders, in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of drugs and other chemical compounds, as a polar aprotic solvent in organic reactions, in the production of indigo dyes, in the production of smokeless gunpowder. It is used as a solvent in the formulation of detergents and thinners, in the production process of bisphenol A, in the preparation of methyl methacrylate, methacrylate acid, methyl, in the extraction processes, as an additive in food, etc.
